For decades, mainstream reporting on Black and queer communities has too often gone unreported, or misreported. In a conversation moderated by Corey Antonio Rose (’23), Xtra Magazine editor Tre’Vell Anderson, Archivist and Ballroom Historian Noelle Deleon, and host of Marsha’s Plate Diamond (Stylz) Collier explore the complicated history of reporting on the Black Trans experience, and how the work of trailblazers like Monica Roberts has shaped the way we tell the stories of those who occupy the intersections of Black, Queer, Transgender, and Non-Binary.
