Free Speech Conference

Speakers and panelists include commentator and erstwhile candidate for governor, Arianna Huffington; Dan Ellsberg, who leaked the Pentagon Papers to the press; Judith Miller, the former New York Times reporter who went to jail to protect a source (Lewis “Scooter” Libby, Jr., we now know); Commentary Magazine senior editor Gabriel Schoenfeld, who has famously advocated prosecuting the New York Times under federal espionage laws (and will debate that topic with Dan Ellsberg, who was himself prosecuted, albeit most unsuccessfully, under the espionage laws); and Dan Weintraub, political columnist for the Sacramento Bee.
