Dangerous Doses: How Counterfeiters Are Contaminating America's Drug Supply

Stolen, counterfeit and contaminated medicine is increasingly turning up on the shelves of AmericaÌ¢‰â‰ã¢s hospitals and pharmacies, endangering patients. Investigative reporter Katherine Eban will discuss her groundbreaking book, Dangerous Doses, which follows a rag-tag team of investigators as they track down counterfeiters on the streets of Miami and uncover a chain of fraud that stretches to the highest levels of multibillion-dollar prescription drug distribution companies. In a story that has shaken the medical community, Eban shows us how, when we most need protection, we may be most at risk.

Katherine Eban, an investigative reporter and Rhodes Scholar, has worked for the New York Times, New York, the New York Observer, and ABC News.
