Professor of Journalism at UC Berkeley and the
Henry Luce Professor of Human Rights at Bard
College, has written for the New Yorker and NY
Review of Books. His books include ‘Torture
and Truth: America, Abu Ghraib and the War on
Terror’. He has won an Emmy and a
MacArthur Fellowship.
