Adventuring the African Apocalypse

An independent freelancer and four-time Project Censored Awards winner, Keith has worked and traveled in forty-three countries. After publishing independent documentation on human rights atrocities and war crimes in Congo and Ethiopia (2004) he was hired by the United Nations as a consultant on genocide and worked in war-torn areas on the Horn (2005). Penetrating geographical and cultural barriers, he has often traveled by mountain bike or foot into remote forests and deserts, and he has journeyed by makeshift rafts down rivers of the Congo and Zambezi basins. In 2005 he documented military operations in Congo, and he was arrested and held by rebel (Interahamwe) factions on the Rwanda border. In 2006 he has worked in Afghanistan, India and China, and he has recently returned from covering the historic national elections in Congo.
