About Nuhu Ribadu:
Nuhu Ribadu’s fight against corruption made him a national icon in Nigeria. After Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo appointed him chairman of Nigeria’s newly created Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in 2003, Ribadu led an unprecedented fight against corruption. More than once, prominent newspapers and magazines in Nigeria have voted Ribadu “Man of the Year” in recognition of his achievements as a committed crusader against corruption. In December, Human Rights Watch reported that Ribadu had survived an apparent assassination attempt. He has since taken up residence in England, where he is participating in a fellowship program at Oxford University.
