A conversation with Jia Tolentino

In honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, we invite you to a special conversation with world-renowned essayist and cultural critic, Jia Tolentino. Jia is a staff writer at The New Yorker and the New York Times bestselling author of the essay collection Trick Mirror. We hope to discuss topics such as Asian American identity amidst a culture of violence, how she has navigated her journey into the newsroom, and what we can do as the next generation of journalists to continue to challenge power. We hope you can join us for this very timely conversation.

Moderated by In Jeong Kim (’22) and Gracelynne West (’22).

This is a private event for Berkeley Journalism students, faculty, staff and alumni.
