J298 Public Records-Gentrification/Labor
This class is required for all Journalism students during their first semester at the school. The purpose of the public records class is to provide students with experience researching public records for stories they do on their beats in J200. Students will become knowledgeable about what kinds of records are available, where and how to access them (online or in-person) and how they can be used in reporting different types of stories.
