This class will provide students with information and skills to advance their own ideas for innovative journalistic ventures — and even to manage their freelance careers. We will take a look at the emerging media landscape, go over the various media business models and then get down to the nitty-gritty details of how to identify an audience, plan a venture, launch a venture, raise funding and start generating revenues and profits as either a freelancer or as a member of a bigger organization.
