J230 Business Reporting: Follow the Money
Business reporting isn’t just for stock traders. It’s a platform for creating great features, profiles and investigative stories about everything from high-tech invention to corporate ethics. We’ll read the bestseller “Bad Blood,” the riveting tale of biotech fraud in Silicon Valley. You can write about the latest and greatest in product development, or do a deep dive into the excesses that perpetuate distorted pay scales. We’ll visit the New York Times and Wall Street Journal for roundtable discussions with reporters. You’ll be pitching enterprise stories you want to do, but there is no story quota. With a few tools and tips, you can get a leg up on the best internships, and boost your job prospects with editors who love reporters that can take a business story and run with it!
