J219 MINI: Video for Social Media

This is a mini class aimed at exploring short vertical video forms, such as those seen on TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and similar platforms. The goal is to critically analyze the way journalists are using these forms, and to teach students how to create their own short videos in a manner that engages and informs the public on important issues.

This class will meet for seven sessions on the following days:
