J200 Reporting the News – Covering the Economy

J200 Covering the Economy is a topical section of J200 where students will explore a local economic development challenge that involves public and private money and telescopes a number of pressing issues that emerge when powerful institutions decide how to use resources: who benefits, who’s left out, who decides, who pays. Students will report stories under this umbrella topic, and seek to publish in Bay Area news outlets, as well as the School’s own news sites when a story has significance to Oakland or Richmond.
