Shelby Carpenter
Shelby Carpenter is a multimedia journalist completing a master’s degree at the University of California Berkeley. A former resident of Anchorage, Alaska, her work has appeared in the Anchorage Press, Outside, Alaska Magazine, Backpacker, Rock and Ice, Powder.com, and others. While she primarily focuses on science, outdoors, and investigative writing, and is always curious and eager for new assignments.
Graduated summa cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis with a bachelor’s degree in the Humanities and Japanese. Also speaks Spanish.
