Kickstart Your Career is a course that combines lectures, guest speakers and hands-on assignments to prepare students to enter the journalism industry and thrive. Students will learn fundamental job hunting skills including resume and cover letter writing, networking and interviewing strategies, as well as tips for how to navigate newsrooms. Students will have opportunities to meet industry professionals and develop and refine their job hunting tools within a supportive and structured environment. By the completion of the course, students should feel prepared to launch a successful job search with confidence.
