Lauren DeLaunay Miller

Lauren DeLaunay Miller is a journalist and audio producer based in California. Her first book, Valley of Giants: Stories from Women at the Heart of Yosemite Climbing, was published in the spring of 2022 by Mountaineers Books and is a finalist at the Banff Mountain Book Competition for Mountain Literature. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a current master’s student at the University of California, Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. Her work has been published in Grist, California Health Report, Berkeley Science Review, Next City, North State Public Radio, Alpinist, the Dirtbag Diaries, and Climbing Gold.
