Ben Wildavsky was named education editor of U.S. News & World Report in October 2004. He supervises education coverage for the weekly magazine, serves as editor of America’s Best Colleges and America’s Best Graduate Schools, and oversees a series of U.S. News guides published by Sourcebooks. He was previously a deputy education and culture editor, helping plan and edit award-winning coverage for the Science and Society section and serving as deputy editor of the magazine’s college and graduate school guides. He is also the lead author of a new book, the U.S. News Ultimate Guide to Becoming a Teacher (Sourcebooks, August 2004), which the Progressive Policy Institute’s 21st Century Schools Project calls “must reading” for aspiring teachers.
