Prof. Ken Light collaborates with East Bay musicians Los Cenzontles on remarkable music video

July 11, 2018

Logan photojournalism Prof. Ken Light collaborated with East Bay musicians Los Cenzontles on a remarkable music video installation featuring dozens of images taken of migrants along the US/Mexico border by Light over four decades. The images, curated from Ken’s books “Valley of Shadows and Dreams” and “To The Promised Land” provide a graceful and illuminating historical portrait of the life of struggling migrant families traveling north. Set to Give Me Love (Give me Peace on Earth) by George Harrison, the soundtrack is performed in a Mexican son style featuring David Hildalgo of Los Lobos fame. #BeMoved
