Carrie Ching
I’m an Emmy award-winning multimedia journalist and producer based in Oakland, California. For six years I led multimedia projects at the Center for Investigative Reporting as Senior Producer of Multimedia. I’m now independent, Executive Producer of my own production company, QuickBrownFox Media; I’m currently producing a series of illustrated documentaries for VICE. My specialty is narrative multimedia storytelling and exploring ways to use digital media toolsäóîincluding video, audio, photography, art, animation, and interactive graphicsäóîto push the boundaries of storytelling on the Web and other digital platforms. Before I got into multimedia I was a magazine editor, newspaper reporter, and video journalist. I completed a master’s degree in journalism from UC Berkeley in 2005.
