Barry Kalb
After 20 years in newspapers, broadcasting and weekly magazines in the U.S., Asia and Europe, I went into the restaurant business in Hong Kong (where my family and I have lived on and off for 25 years). I finally got out of that several years ago, and, with nothing to do, went back to journalism. I now work as a part-time editor at Voice of America’s Asia-Pacific bureau in Hong Kong, and teach journalism and news writing courses at the University of Hong Kong. I still visit Berkeley, where my oldest friend lives, with some regularity, and I often stroll across the campus for old-time’s sake. It’s a lot more peaceful than it was when I was there as a student, 1965-67, but it’s just as beautiful as ever.ttt
