Josh Williams is a San Francisco-based multimedia editor at the New York Times, where he works on a range of projects at the intersection of web development, design and storytelling. He worked on a project that won the Pulitzer Prize and another that was a finalist. He’s received four Emmy nominations and his work has been recognized by SND, ONA, POYi and NPPA, among others.

Prior to the Times he was the new media projects editor at the Las Vegas Sun, a multimedia exhibit developer at the Smithsonian Institution and a Web developer at various Washington, DC non-profits. He also has significant experience teaching, most recently as an adjunct professor at Columbia University and formerly as a full-time lecturer at UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism. Williams has a master’s degree in interactive journalism from American University and a bachelor’s degree in multimedia journalism from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. #goheels
