About Matthew Sarnecki

Matt Sarnecki is a freelance video and print journalist based in the Bay Area of California. He specializes in producing multimedia news packages for online media outlets. He has directed a six-part documentary video series about the Chinese underground music scene for VICE. His work has also appeared in The San Francisco Chronicle Online, Juxtapoz Magazine and The Huffington Post.
Matt received his BA in politics and history at Columbia University in 2004, and he received a Fulbright Teaching Assistantship at the Film and Television Academy (FAMU) in Prague, Czech Republic in 2006-7. He is currently a graduate student in multimedia journalism at the University of California at Berkeley.
