Nancy DeVille
Nancy DeVille is an award-winning newsroom leader with over two decades of experience creating print, digital, and audio content.
As an editorial project manager at The Atlantic, DeVille directs high-impact editorial projects like The Secret History of Family Separation, which earned the 2023 Pulitzer Prize for Explanatory Reporting. In this position, she focuses on bridging the gap between digital and traditional media to engage new audiences.
Her journalism career began at The Tennessean. As a reporter, DeVille was part of the news team named a finalist for a Pulitzer Prize for the newspaper’s coverage of the most devastating flood in Nashville history. Her work also earned awards from the Tennessee Press Association for Best Education Reporting and Best News Reporting.
A California native, she graduated from Fisk University and holds a master’s degree from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism.
