Elgin Nelson
Elgin Nelson is a journalist originally from Phoenix, Arizona. He is in the class of ’23 at UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism where he is studying long-form narrative journalism and photojournalism.
Elgin will intern as a Food & Wine Reporter Intern at the San Francisco Chronicle this summer.
During school, Elgin’s focus has been reporting on Arts and Culture. He has covered cultural festivals, political art pieces, and much more for Richmond Confidential, the school’s digital publication.
Before school, Elgin has interned at VinePair, a digital publication that covers the alcohol beverage industry. Also, he has interned at Firelight Films where he worked as a Research & Production Intern. He worked under Stanley Nelson, Emmy-Award-winning director, on documentary films such as Miles Davis: Birth of the Cool and ESPN 30 for 30: Vick.
