Please join the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism as it hosts filmmakers Brent and Craig Renaud and best selling author/soldier John Crawford for a public screening and conversation about the deployment of National Guard soldiers in Iraq and its impact on families back home.

The program begins by screening selected excerpts of the Renaud brothers’ award-winning documentary series “Off To War” about soldiers and families of the 39th Brigade of the Arkansas National Guard during a one-year tour in Iraq. The 10 part series airs beginning Oct. 15 on Discovery Times Channel.

The screening will be followed by a conversation, moderated by Los Angeles Times correspondent Rone Tempest, with the Renauds and Crawford, former Florida National Guardsman and author of the best-selling “The Last True Story I’ll Ever Tell: An Accidental Soldier’s Account of the War in Iraq.”
