Callie Shanafelt
Callie Shanafelt loves listening to the world through headphones. She came to the J-school after producing a radio show called Voices of Diversity in Seattle for eight years. Through that experience she developed a love of journalism and all its possibilities. Her documentary thesis tells the story of her journey with her dad and uncle to remember the cult they grew up in near LA during the 1950s. After j-school she plans to continue with film and radio while exploring exciting new multimedia formats.
To release the stress of a long day, she enjoys swimming or singing Karaoke.
