Teresa Cotsirilos
I’m an immigration reporter at KALW and freelance journalist in the San Francisco Bay Area. Before that, I was a reporter and host at KYUK, where I covered criminal justice, climate change and public health. As a student at UC Berkeley, I won several awards for my thesis, a radio documentary about a fire captain accused of serial wildfire arson. You can hear or see my work at the New York Times, Weekend Edition, Alaska News Nightly, the Nation and other publications.
Prior to becoming a journalist, I sold eyepatches and other pirate supplies in San Francisco and taught sex education in rural Namibia. Send me news tips at tcotsirilos@gmail.com.
