Isara studied documentary film at UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism, class of 2017. She is currently an On-Call Video Producer for KQED Arts, and has produced, shot and edited video stories for their website.

Her video stories have also been published at the San Francisco Chronicle online and Crosscut Seattle. Her work has covered racial tensions at Berkeley High School, homelessness in the Bay Area and other issues related to mental health and social justice.

Isara has been a contributing writer and photographer for Content Magazine, an assistant to a professional wedding photographer and an intern investigator for the Public Defenders’ Service of the District of Columbia.

She has always been interested in issues of mental health, public education, food systems and the ways social stratification affects everything.
