Chris Schodt is a journalist based in the Bay Area, specializing in technology, science and entertainment. He is a freelance video producer and editor, and for the last year wrote a weekly news column for a geek-culture website.
Originally from Minnesota, Chris worked for three years at Minnesota Public Radio/American Public Media as a multimedia and live events producer and project coordinator. At MPR/APM he worked with a diverse group of people and produced videos of sci-fi authors, musicians, stand-up comedians and government officials. His videos have accrued tens of thousands of views online.
Chris is an experienced multimedia producer, working in Final Cut and the Adobe Suite. He’s filmed live interviews, stage shows, conferences and concerts, and is an expert in web distribution.

Chris received an undergraduate degree in Geology from Macalester College in Saint Paul, and spent two years as a field researcher and environmental chemist.
