Tarin Griggs
Tarin Alexandria Griggs (she/her) manages admin, operations, and events for the California Local News Fellowship. She began working with UC Berkeley Journalism in 2021 and has previously served as the Executive Assistant to the Dean, Program and Office Coordinator, and Events Coordinator for both the Logan Symposium on Investigative Reporting and the California Local News Fellowship program. She is a Wellness Ambassador through the Be Well at Work program and chair of the faculty/staff Committee on Well-being (COW).
She has spent over a decade in community art spaces, nonprofit organizations, and institutions of higher education. She has worked with East Bay Dance Center, Counterpulse, East Bay College Fund (now known as Oakland Promise), BANANAS, the admissions department at Mills College, and the Arts in Education program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is also a movement artist who creates experimental work in collaboration with local performance artists.
