Marian Carrasquero is a Venezuelan documentary photographer and multimedia journalist who seeks out compelling cultural and human stories that she can translate into visual narrative through photography and video. She attended Speos Paris Photographic Institute in 2011 and received a professional studio photography certification. Then she received her B.F.A in photography with a minor in creative writing from the Savannah College of Art and Design and attended Eddie Adams Workshop XXVIII in 2015. She is always seeking to immerse herself in long form stories relating to youth, race, family, culture and other social issues. Her work has been featured both nationally and internationally in NPR, Gear Patrol Magazine, Aint-Bad, Connect Savannah, Prodavinci and El Nacional.

She is currently pursuing her Masters in New Media Journalism at UC Berkeley.
