Duha Hmidan is Palestinian journalist and graduate student at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. Her coverage centered on  human rights, education, social issues, underrepresented communities and corruption. She has reported for WAFA News Agency, UNRWA ESPAN, Ajyal Radio Network, the Qattan Foundation, and The Contra Costa Advocate, with a UN internship. Her work has earned the 2023 Shireen Abu Akleh Prize for Media Excellence and the 2022 Goethe Institute Podcast Award.
