Carly Severn is the Senior Social Media Strategist at KQED, San Francisco’s NPR and PBS station, and has over a decade’s experience in audience work and online content. She collaborates with reporters, producers, writers, podcasters and social media specialists across web, radio and television to engage and develop audiences in meaningful ways. As a reporter and producer, Carly reports for KQED radio (The California Report), podcasts (Bay Curious) and digital properties (writing and photography for KQED News and Arts.) She hosted KQED’s popular culture podcast The Cooler 2015-2020. Carly previously steered digital engagement for San Francisco Ballet and started her career in museum communications in the U.K. She studied English at Cambridge University.
