350 Frontlines Video Fellowship is launching our first video production fellowship to support filmmakers from frontline communities in the climate movement to do local storytelling.

The Video fellowship is a 3-month, part-time, paid position, running from September 2019-December 2019 for filmmakers from communities on the frontlines of climate change and fossil fuel infrastructure impacts in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Video fellows will to do local story telling about the impact of climate change and the fossil fuel industry in their communities and how communities are responding.This is a great opportunity for filmmakers to gain experience in video production, build skills to join a growing network of frontline videographers hired by to cover climate stories in their region, and to get support for their local storytelling on the impacts of climate change and the solutions we need.

The fellowship will support filmmakers by offering paid work (12hrs a week at $25 an hour), peer support, and training so that fellows are positioned to continue to collaborate with 350 and other partner orgs after the fellowship, and continue to tell stories about the impacts their communities are facing.

Fellows must have experience in video production, a commitment to justice, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and comfort working independently. Access to some video production equipment, including a video camera, microphones, and a computer for editing is required but may be able to support with filling in some equipment gaps. BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and people of color) filmmakers are encouraged to apply.
