Join the Berkeley Food Institute and UC Berkeley Journalism for a special lunchtime Q&A featuring Helena Bottemiller Evich, founder and editor-in-chief of Food Fix and Mark Schapiro, UC Berkeley Journalism lecturer. Helena and Mark will pull back the curtain on strategies for reporting on the contested terrain of food policy and the implications for the cultivation and consumption of food. They will also consider the possibilities and pitfalls of going independent – as Bottemiller Evich did in her shift from Politico — to create her own news site, Food Fix.
RSVP.
