Nicole Jones

I’m an energetic multimedia reporter who has what it takes to thrive in a fast-paced newsroom. My five years working as a journalist includes editing multimedia content at The Chicago Tribune’s features desk and publishing daily stories for a hyper-local news site in Oakland, Calif. Working as both a reporter and editor taught me how to balance detail and accuracy with speed and efficiency. And whether it’s breaking news or enterprise reporting, I can cover a variety of stories with the same amount of curiosity and dedication.

I believe journalism is a public service that needs reliable reporters who run toward the fire, ask the tough questions and relentlessly look for new leads. It also needs innovative journalists who can enhance how people consume news and use digital tools to connect with readers. They must be organized and focused to work well independently while knowing how to utilize the strength of a team for collaborating on projects. These are qualities I value and take with me wherever I go to work.

I’m currently freelancing in Chile and am always looking for opportunities to connect with media professionals. Feel free to send me an email: contact@nicolejonesreports.com
