Shared agendas
Let's start on a conciliatory note with this advice given by Tony Blair at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
"If America wants the rest of the world to be part of the agenda it has set, it must be part of their agenda, too." An invitation to do more against global warming and poverty essentially.
The sentence was used by The New York Times, Le Monde (France), and La Nación (Argentina), among others, in balanced fashion with different tones.
The Financial Times seemed disappointed by US reaction to Blair's proposition on environment in a story titled "US responds coolly to Blair call for action on climate change."
