Underground April 17, 2008
This week we take you “underground” both figuratively and literally. Brett Wilkison takes listeners on a radio expedition to Colma, California, where most of the residents spend their time underground. Rina Palta reports on undocumented students, who are forced to live their lives below the surface. Reporter David Gelles interviews a transportation official about the Devil’s Slide tunnels. Have you ever been driving around, messing with the FM dial, and you come across a totally new radio station you never heard before? Anrica Deb brings us a little bit about pirate radio. And Jessica Meyers reports on a man who makes his living from the underground…literally.
