About the J-School

Election 2000 is a project of the Journalism-200 first-year reporting classes at the Graduate School of Journalism at the University of California at Berkeley.

Traditionally our students have published their deadline election specials in local newspapers. This year, under the guidance of webmaster and second-year student Joan Obra and lecturer and political reporting instructor Susan Rasky, the stories are being written for the Web and updated throughout the evening.

Special thanks to Web site designer Kelly Lunsford; photo editor Joshua Dautoff; the photographers from Ken Light's photojournalism class; Web assistants and second-year students Leena Pendharkar and Jeff St. John; second-year political reporting students in Susan Rasky's Election 2000 class; new media program director Paul Grabowicz; school director Rob Gunnison, and information services director Roy Baril.
