Conservative to Supremes: Larry is Right

It ain't often you hear a conservative legal mind defending Larry Lessig's ideas, but bless him Richard Posner just did. This is the same fellow who mediated the Microsoft settlement. More on Posner here.

Not so strange, Professor Lessig clerked for Posner. Also on this issue it wouldn't be surprising if many conservatives and legal conservatives were in support.

Of course, I had forgotten that about Posner/Lessig. I'd like to hear the other conservative legal scholars start to talk right about now, to give the Supremes some political cover on Eldred (any sense I had that the Supremes were apolitical I abandoned after the last election).
