DigiTV on the New York Times

October 29, 2012

The New York Times has published a video report by Paulina Hartono produced in southwest China. Hartono, a doctoral student in history with an interest in China’s legal system, joined last spring’s Digital TV and the World class.

Her report is the second in a new series of videos from Kunming. The first video by Christy Khoshaba ’12, looked at the national college entrance exam. Both videos accompanied print stories by New York Times Correspondent Ed Wong.

The Washington Post also publishes many of Digital TV and the World’s domestic and international stories. It published a separate video with an introduction by Correspondent Keith Richburg. The DigiTV reporters took one day of a month-long practicum to fan out across the streets of Kunming to learn about ordinary peoples’ impressions of America
