Desktop Tech Consultant, Liberal Arts ITS On Site Support, University of Texas at Austin, August 2003 – July 2008 Provided desktop computer technical support and consulting for faculty, staff, and grad students in Liberal Arts departments. Supported web development, software and hardware configuration issues. Performed regular maintenance of machines. Tackled OS and network troubleshooting and researched instructional technology solutions. Provided one on one computer training in diverse topics ranging from web publishing, e-mail clients, MS Office applications to Blackboard. Made recommendations for hardware and software purchases.
Web Master, ITS On Site Support, University of Texas at Austin, April 2002 – August 2005 Created and updated content for Texas Union website. Fixed back end infrastructure problems. Tools included PHP, HTML, and CSS. Maintained auxiliary content for InformalClasses.com. Acted as a liaison between Texas Union and ITS staff.
