Calo researched and wrote the paper while a Fellow at the Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School during the spring semester.

CNN will broadcast an hour special this Friday night at 8 and 11PM, PST, entitiled 'Beyond the Frontlines.' The television reports were produced by Berkeley students who took part in the News21 fellowship last year. Reporting on the US Military Abroad, and charged with developing innovating storytelling approaches, our television and multi-media teams reported on the Defense Department's far flung new strategy. The CNN hour will include work by '06 graduates Lee Wang, Emily Taguchi, Najlae Benmbarek, Aaron Selverston, Aliza Nadi, and Cerissa Tanner.
