Brittany Schell

Brittany is currently a multimedia editor for Agence France-Presse in Washington, DC. She is passionate about environmental and public health issues, and using interactive online elements to tell stories. Before coming to UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism, she studied at American University in Washington, D.C. She also spent two years abroad in France, honing her language skills and traveling.

Her Master’s project is a multimedia package on health disparities in Oakland, California. It can be seen at www.ThePulseOfOakland.com. She was awarded a Kaiser Permanente Health Policy Journalism Fellowship to pursue the project, and won an Online Journalism Association student award in 2013.
