Three Frontline Films Produced At North Gate Nominated For Prizes

Parts I and III of News War, and The Enemy Within, each co-written by Professor Lowell Bergman, were nominated for Writers Guild Awards in the Documentary – Current Events Category. Each was broadcast on PBS’ Frontline.

"The Enemy Within" was written by Bergman and Oriana Zill De Granados. "News War Part 1: Secrets Sources and Spin" was written by Bergman.Raney Aronson-Rath and Seth Bomse. "News War, Part 3: What's Happening to the News?" was written by Bergman and Stephen Talbot.

"News War" was co-produced with the Graduate School of Journalism and made possible by grants from the Richard and Rhoda Goldman Fund and the Nathan Cummings Foundation. Two of the films were reported and produced at the Investigative Reporting Program office at the school directed by Professor Bergman.

The production facilities and investigative program are endowed and supported by the Reva and David Logan Family Foundation.

Students and alumni assisting in the product of "News War" were Jonathan Jones, Lee Wang, Matt Levin, Cathy Bussewitz, Sachi Cunningham, Josiah Hooper, Ariana Reguzzoni, Aaron Selverston, Zachary Stauffer, Kate Golden, Pamela Harris, Charlotte Buchen, Cerissa Tanner, Clayton Worfolk, Jason Blalock, Marjorie McAfee and Matt Levin and Aman Muhar.

Helping in production of "The Enemy Within" were Jeff Kearns, Charlotte Buchen, Rob Harris, Cathy Bussewitz, Jordan deBree, Lee Wang, Kate Golden, Sachi Cunningham, Marjorie McAfee,Matt Levin and Joseph De Avila.
