Description:

BAE is seeking a Technical Editor/Writer to support the quality assurance of a program involved in the testing and integration of software applications and systems. The candidate will support the document process ensuring successful completion of the document review and approval cycle. Candidate writes, rewrites and/or edits technical documents such as test reports, test plans, templates, technical procedures, user manuals, standard operating procedures, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively to a wide range of audiences. Candidate will organize and maintain quality records and perform other assigned tasks related to quality assurance program. Conducts quality review of test documentation.

Experience:

Required Education:
11+ Years with HS or 7+ Years with AA or 5+ Years with BS or 2+ Years with MS or 0+ Years with PhD

Required Skills:
At least 5 years experience in a full-time technical editor/writer role. Candidate must have experience working with and creating document templates; reviewing and editing technical documents (e.g. test reports and plans), checklists, and other testing artifacts. Excellent written and oral communication skills is a must. Candidate must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Proficiency using basic Microsoft Office tools.

Preferred Skills:
Experience working in a software/system testing organization and familiarity with CMMI and ITIL is a plus.
