The Donald W. Reynolds School of Journalism and Center for Advanced Media Studies seeks a dynamic faculty member to help us create the future of broadcast news in our new $4 million studio and multimedia lab.
This tenure-track assistant professor will take a lead role in our new facility, teaching, mentoring, and collaborating with faculty to deepen our curriculum in digital media. Equally important, this person will contribute a scholarly or creative agenda that contributes to the school’s emphasis on innovation and new media and is in line with the university’s tenure and promotion guidelines. The position will start July 1, 2013.

The Reynolds School is located in northern Nevada on the campus of the University of Nevada, Reno within sight of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Our campus is 45 minutes from Lake Tahoe and four hours from San Francisco and the Napa-Sonoma wine country.
Master’s degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field and professional experience that includes broadcast news reporting and experience in new media/digital broadcast/innovative journalism. We also will look for demonstrated potential to teach and an agenda for research or creative production.
