Description:
TPM is hiring an Associate Editor to work in our Washington, DC bureau. This is a full-time editing position with a mix of story-editing, story-assigning and newsroom management duties. The associate editor oversees a small team of reporters, collaborates with the senior editors, and plays a substantial role directing the site’s coverage.
Competitive salary, health insurance coverage (TPM pays 100% of premium), 401(k), three weeks paid vacation per year.
Experience:
Candidates must have five years of professional work experience, the relevant editorial background, and be ready to work at the fast-paced metabolism of a new media news organization. A solid grasp of contemporary U.S. politics, a real familiarity with TPM, and solid news judgment are each a must.
