East Bay ExpressCategory: Freelance
The East Bay Express is looking for a freelance theater reviewer to contribute weekly reviews of plays and comedic performances happening in the East Bay. The freelance theater writer will contribute one 750- to 800-word review every week. This is a freelance, off-site position without benefits (writers are paid per article submitted).
Our ideal candidate is someone who’s familiar with the local theater world and/or has a burning desire to learn more about it — from big productions at established theater companies to obscure one-man acts happening in abandoned warehouses. Applicants must be organized; detail-oriented; discerning; and be able to write clean, compelling content.
How To Apply:
Applicants should send a résumé, three relevant clips, and a letter explaining why you’re right for the job to Co-Editor Kathleen Richards at Kathleen[dot]Richards[at]eastbayexpress[dot]com. No phone calls, please.
Deadline To Apply: Sept. 28, 2012
