Writing for the web can be a very challenging job. The tone of voice used when writing copy needs to be just right to meet the goals of a website. A copywriter is a skilled professional having a certain way with words! The task of a copywriter is largely to produce such copy that is persuasive and attention grabbing, used primarily to meet advertising and marketing needs.

ROCKET MEDIA is seeking an individual with top-in-field writing/editing skills who can create effective, targeted content and deliver it with power and elegance. As a Content Editor for this growing company you must be able to multi-task, maintain a professional attitude and possess excellent communication skills. This role will include interaction with many types of clients and job responsibilities will include writing content for clients’ web pages, blogging, and email campaigns. Candidates should be extremely organized and motivated individuals with great writing skills and the ability to follow the ROCKET MEDIA style of thinking outside of the box.

Responsibilities

Manage content requests and submit deliverables on defined timelines.
Provide superior customer visibility and service throughout
Understand the needs of clients to diplomatically prioritize their objectives and write consistent content for their company.
Ability to write concise, attention grabbing and hard-hitting copy that puts the message across.
Maintain a high level of knowledge of both product features and business goals.
Quick idea generation, ability to come up with ideas at a drop of a hat.
Delivering within short time frames and meeting tight deadlines.
Key Attributes / Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism or other related field, along with some knowledge of the principles of communications.
An advertising background with an understanding of Search Engines and Internet Marketing, an added benefit.
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
Previous experience writing and editing content preferably in either print or web publishing
Experience working with a Web-base company in an editorial or content management capacity
Basic experience with a markup language / systems (HTML, CMS, etc.)
Ability to work with designers and clients to make content flow
Effective time and task management skills to drive and complete multiple tasks in a high-throughput environment
