Organizational Objective/Purpose:
The Charles Schwab Investor Services Field Integration organization supports the Investor Services (IS) enterprise. The team supports project management and implementation efforts impacting each Investor Services group. A unit within Field Integration supports the management of content for field Investor Services employees. This group is responsible for editing and publishing a critical intranet site which provides business information needed to support client-facing employees.

Brief Description of Role:
This is a new role and will operate as an individual contributor. They will be a member of a service / support organization team whose charter is to provide timely, relevant, and accurate information to our field reps, with a specific dedication towards improving the centralized communications channels for client-contact employees.

Communications are currently managed through email or websites, on topics ranging across in-the-moment crises and system availability info, training, product release information, , and critical policy and procedural changes. This role will be tasked with examining and possibly streamlining these and other communications, and with recommending new approaches for effective communications.

This position requires close and ongoing partnership with all levels within the firm and with nearly every organization, including but not limited to Marketing, Compliance, product or tool owners, Public Relations, technology groups, and senior-level management.

We place a premium on high performance, superior relationship skills, a thoughtful point of view, discretion with sensitive/confidential information, and the savvy and diplomacy to effectively balance the needs of content consumers and producers.

Daily basis:
Create and uphold the vision on how to address the communications challenges faced by the field
Look for unique and innovative solutions to communication pain points
Responsible for creation, management, and maintenance of field communications
Focus on creating and managing a high value , centralized communications channel

Experience:

Technical/Functional Qualifications:

Required:
Experience in a Web publishing environment using a content management system (CMS)
Experience in editing / copyediting and / or writing for the Web
Experience in using different media for internal communications
Knowledge of how to write different types of training content (for example, just-in-time training which can bridge the gap between course-based learning and reference materials)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills in groups of various sizes and with various levels
Ability to prioritize work, especially in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work well without direct supervision
5+ years professional experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Experience with Microsoft Sharepoint 2007 or 2010 and Interwoven TeamSite a plus
RSS experience a plus
